Our Story

webcrop-kari3.jpgIn 1993, as a busy mom of two little girls, Kari Lee Beutell combined her passion for baking with her drive to provide healthy, homemade food for her family. In the simple desire to spend time at home while doing what she loved most, the roots of Kari Lee's Specialties was born.

"I started making big batches of baking mixes for myself as a shortcut for cooking homemade meals. High quality, real food for my own family was always important to me. It has always been about getting back-to-basics and nature. Soon my friends and family started asking for them, and the business began!" -Kari Beutell

Kari Lee's Specialties has had the pleasure of collaborating with many fine food retailers such as Cracker Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, Dean & Deluca, Nordic Ware, Marshall Fields, Sally Foster Fundraiser, and countless other orchards, grocery and gift shops across the country. We have a long history of happy customers and always appreciate hearing your stories about Kari Lee's on your own table. 

Today, Kari Lee's is proudly celebrating its 20th anniversary. What started as one woman's small business has grown into a full family affair with her two daughters, Dani and Paige. They have now joined the team to continue bringing you healthy, easy and high-quality meals for years to come. In continued efforts to spread our love of home cooking, Kari Lee's donates a portion of profits to local food shelves to help feed hungry families in Minnesota.
